This class will not teach how to design an Access application, but rather how to generate quick reports from an already existing database or Excel fi le. Many of the features of the data commands are common to Excel, but Access has added power. 9 a.m. 12 p.m. Directions Training Center, Oak Brook Ginnie Floraday and the analysis tools will enable users to become more effi cient spreadsheet users. Topics will include spreadsheet formatting, absolute cell references, the Solver procedure, and the Outline procedure which will allow users to hide detail rows in spreadsheets and graphs. 9 a.m. 12 p.m. MCA Construction Education Institute Microsoft PowerPoint. Learn more about manipulating graphics, importing spreadsheets, enhancing a slide show and additional printing features. This course will also cover creating organizational charts, adding animation to pictures, enhancing movement thumbnail sketches of each slide. 9 a.m. 12 p.m. Directions Training Center, Oak Brook Ginnie Floraday versions of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Some of the new features to be reviewed will be the Ribbon (the replacement for the toolbar), the Mini Toolbar, Document Themes and Quick Styles in Word. Excel enhancements include improvements to Pivot Tables, Filters, and Advanced Formatting. 9 a.m. 12 p.m. MCA Construction Education Institute on sharing Excel workbooks with PowerPoint, Word and Access. The power of Excel is realized when its features are utilized in other programs. This course will cover: lists from Excel into a form letter or labels; the four methods of displaying an Excel worksheet in a Word document; and hyperlinks that will allow users to open an Excel workbook from within Word. · Using Excel in Power Point: creating charts in PowerPoint and merging into Excel and inserting Excel workbooks into PowerPoint. · Using Access in Excel: designing reports in Access using Excel data. |
